Slow start plagues CMB girls soccer

MAXWELL — The Ballard girls’ soccer team got out to a quick start against Collins-Maxwell/Baxter April 13, and the Bombers stayed unbeaten with a 5-1 road victory.

The Raiders (1-2) trailed 4-1 at halftime. Junior Tatum Tremain scored her fourth goal of the season after she followed up shot off the upper crossbar by freshman Caitlyn Bruntz. That goal came in the 22nd minute and made it 2-1.

Ballard got three goals from Sydney Halverson. The Bombers (2-0) have outscored their first two opponents 14-1.

The Raiders played Grand View Christian April 18.
