CMB boys win third straight, down ACA in double OT

MAXWELL ­— Junior Ryan Sebastiano recorded a hat trick and tallied an assist, and junior Carter Fricke added a pair of goals and delivered an assist as the Collins-Maxwell/Baxter boys’ soccer team won its third straight game on May 12.

Sebastiano’s third goal of the game came in double overtime as the Raiders defeated Ankeny Christian Academy, 5-4, on their home pitch.

Sebastiano scored the game-winner on a header early in the second overtime session.

CMB sophomore goalkpeer Brendyn Padget tallied 12 saves in the win.

Fricke, Sebastiano and sophomores Peyton Johnston and Josh Bruntz all tallied assists in the victory.

Sebastiano now leads the Raiders (6-10) with 11 goals.

Fricke has scored 10 goals and leads the team with five assists.

The Raiders finished up the regular season with games at Chariton on May 15 and at Ankeny Christan on May 16.
