Colfax library announces summer reading program schedule

The Colfax Public Library is once again offering a summer reading program.

All shows will be at the Colfax Christian Church Fellowship Hall, diagonally across the street from the library at 101 N. Locust St. and will begin at 10 a.m. All ages are welcome and all shows are free. Snacks are provided at the end of each show. Please note that one show is on Monday this year. 

Thursday, July 6 — Fax Gilbert, Magician and Mime Artist. Fax uses audience participation and provides a funny and imaginative show!

Thursday, July 13 — Dino ODell. Sings and plays his guitar to tell the story of Zar the space alien that crashes his space ship on earth. Dino performs for schools and libraries all over the midwest. He has a children's book and a CD with his music available.

Thursday, July 20 — Craft Day. Come make an earth day craft to pledge support to take care of our world.

Monday, July 24 — Jester Puppets. The show this year is called: Iowa Jones and the Search for the Last Mummy. The Jester Puppet Troupe always keep the kids engaged while teaching a postive message. 

Thursday, July 27 — Blank Park Zoo. Our most popular show is when the educational department from the zoo brings out animals for a show and tell format. Come see what they bring this year.
